DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Sacha Kocsis\, Xanadu \nTime: 10:00-11:00am \nLocation: BRIM 311 \nTitle: Optical quantum computing with GKP states \nTopic: Xanadu is a quantum computing company founded in Toronto in 2016 with the goal of building fault-tolerant quantum computers. I will give an overview of Xanadu’s recent hardware milestones\, and an introduction to Xanadu’s strategy for fault-tolerant quantum computing using optical GKP states. Finally\, I will focus on our most recent hardware demonstration [1] from earlier this year\, in which we generated and measured GKP states showing features necessary for fault-tolerance\, using a scalable integrated platform.  \n  \n[1] M.V.
