DESCRIPTION:Dr. Eden Hennessey\, social psychologist and EDI data specialist\, who spoke at the QMI Retreat 2023\, will present the results from the post-session survey conducted during the retreat\, which focuses on EDI priorities. \n  \nDate: Tuesday\, October 24th\, 2023\nTime: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM \n  \nAbstract: In this talk\, Dr. Hennessey will present findings and recommendations based on data collected during QMI’s annual retreat. Were the EDI sessions valuable to the QMI community? Did attendees’ perspectives change following the EDI sessions? Come and find out! \n  \nSpeaker Bio: Eden Hennessey (she/her) is a Social Psychologist who researches and mobilizes knowledge related to diversity promotion and discrimination reduction. She is the inaugural Equity\, Diversity\, and Inclusion Data Specialist at Wilfrid Laurier University and Research and Programs Director of the Laurier Centre for Women in Science (WinS).
