SUMMARY:World Quantum Family and Friends Day
DESCRIPTION:We are happy to organize Friends and Family Day at the Blusson Quantum Matter Institute. \nThis is a celebration of the QMI Community and World Quantum Day. \nPlease register here. \nLab Tours\nThe following labs will be open to the public. Volunteers will give brief explanations of each lab:\n• The Scanning Tunneling Microscopy Lab\n• The Ultrafast Spectroscopy Lab\n• The Quantum Materials Lab\n• The 2D Materials Lab\n• The Photonics & Nanostructures Lab\n• The Angle-Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy Lab \nSuperconductor Track\nOur famous superconductor track will be on display throughout the event\, run by the one and\nonly James Day. \nAstronomy Station\nStop by a cosmic experience run by Jess McIver. \nRefreshments and Ice Cream\nCoffee will be available in the morning. Ice cream for the event will be hosted by Mona Berciu! \nMerch\nKids will receive QMI stickers and buttons. \nFun Passport\nKids (and adults?) will be provided with an event passport to explore the building and express their artistic skills. \nSocialize\nThe event is a great opportunity to socialize with the QMI community. Mingle with other QMI\nparents and friends in the lobby area\, while exploring the building\, or at the rest areas.
