Student Committee - Stewart Blusson Quantum Matter Institute

Find peers, connect with colleagues, and make new friends while at Blusson QMI: our Student Committee is comprised of students who are eager to help those new to Blusson QMI find their way, and to engage with current students to develop positive connections and lasting relationships.

Our Student Committee:

supports the collaborative culture and interdisciplinary nature of the Institute
ensures students are aware of Blusson QMI’s research groups and what they are working on
facilitates the sharing of knowledge
provides opportunities to build future careers in academia and/or industry
builds a strong culture and supportive environment
provides opportunities for students to build, and enjoy collegial relationships

As well as ensuring that students are aware of opportunities at the institute, committee members serve as advocates and provide feedback to faculty and staff with regard to student needs, issues and experience.

Leveraging our unique culture to solve urgent challenges

We are working to find solutions to current and future problems for Canadians by developing materials, tools and technologies to solve some of the biggest environmental, medical, and computing challenges. To do this, we have established our Grand Challenges: three bold, ambitious ideas that will guide our research priorities and engage all of our research groups and investigators in collaboration over the next decade.
