Quantum Pathways

Quantum Pathways is a program specific to the Stewart Blusson Quantum Matter Institute (Blusson QMI) at the University of British Columbia. Blusson QMI offers multi-year summer research scholarships to undergraduate students enrolled in physics, chemistry, or engineering programs and whose backgrounds and identities are underrepresented in the natural sciences and engineering.

Outreach and Public Education

We take pride in the support and training we offer, including opportunities for our community to engage in outreach and develop skills in science communication, teaching, and community building. Our outreach programs benefit our students as well as learners from Kindergarten through Grade 12, and the interested public. Under the leadership of Natalia Bussard, Manager, Programs & Careers, these initiatives reach audiences in the Lower Mainland and across British Columbia.

Quantum Electronic Science & Technology (QuEST) Program

Quantum Electronic Science & Technology (QuEST) is an integrated study program that gives graduate students access to world-class researchers and facilities and professional development, as well as opportunities to experience research environments at Blusson QMI, at UBC, and around the world. Its goal is to engage students in an international research network and connect these future thinkers and entrepreneurs with academic and industry partners.
